The storyline was quite lengthy but it kept me engaged and entertained. I enjoyed reading about the events thru the eyes of the mom and the cousin. You don't get to hear the inner thoughts of the girl. This, in my opinion, lends to the story being more realistic. There's not much of a plot twist per se, but just enough to not be disappointing. I'd definitely read more by this author.

overall this book was a slow read. I listen to it in an audiobook and sometimes I felt so annoyed and rolled my eyes because it felt like they were dragging out certain scenes with the descriptions and everything. the story at the end was really good. I definitely didn't see the the last part coming I couldn't have guessed it. the cousin was slightly annoying like she was very clingy and it was a little bit annoying maybe I have my own issues there. the overall story I will give it a two out of five because it was such a slow slow burn but in the end it was a good ending. did I get bored and Skip some parts no I did fast Forward some parts because I was getting annoyed by the cousin like I said but the book and the story overall is pretty good. would I recommend this yes I send an easy read or something that you can put in the background yes
