About this audiobook
This compilation brings together Ingersoll Lockwood's timeless Baron Trump adventure tales into a single volume.
Immersed in imaginative journeys, the Baron Trump stories showcase the eponymous characterāa wealthy young boy residing in Trump Castle. While his official name is Wilhelm Heinrich Sebastian Von Troomp, he opts to be addressed by his title, Baron Trump, for simplicity.
Venturing into time travel escapades across human history, the young Baron encounters ancient societies, engaging with their languages and social customs. Accompanied by his loyal and protective companion, Bulger the hound, Baron Trump navigates diverse adventures, overcoming numerous challenges.
The concluding book in this collection delves into the ascent of a U.S. President, drawing intriguing parallels with certain aspects of the 21st-century political landscape. Set in a divided and dissenting America, the narrative touches upon a Fifth Avenue hotel in New York and the election of an outsider candidate amid a tumultuous atmosphere.
Ingersoll Lockwood, renowned for his contributions to children's literature and short stories, was a seasoned member of the U.S. consular service. His writing career, initiated in the 1870s, gained widespread acclaim and recognition for his literary endeavors.

overall, a decent read. though I did not care for the old English of the characters talking. but given the time frame of the book, it was to be expected. I did struggle with the names of the characters in Young Baron's journeys. they were very farfetched names and at times hard to understand. it was a decent piece of fiction, but not terribly engaging.
