British author Donna Ashcroft spent years working in publishing and as a freelance copywriter before turning her hand to writing romance novels, with the help of the Romantic Novelists Association's new writer's scheme. Her debut novel, Summer at the Castle Cafe, was shortlisted for the RNA Debut Romantic Novel Award in 2019. She's been busy on her laptop ever since, and is now the proud author of more than a dozen novels. Four of her novels have been in the Amazon Top 100; one made it to #7 in the UK and US Kindle charts, another made it to #1 in the UK, US and AU free Kindle charts. Ashcroft loves a happy ending and is never more content than when she's escaping into a romance novel or movie. Originally from Buckinghamshire, Donna lived in Lancashire and London before settling in Hertfordshire, UK. Here she lives with her own romantic hero Chris, and two fantastic teenagers, along with a couple of very grumpy cats.
