About this audiobook

From international bestselling author Carolyn Arnold comes an edge-of-your-seat FBI thriller that will have Special Agent Brandon Fisher hunting the elusive serial killer known as the Leopard.

He tells them to run. Then he hunts them down.

A husband and wife are found murdered in the woods outside a small town in rural Arkansas—shot with arrows, gutted, and left to bleed out. Their eyes have been removed and replaced with cat’s-eye marbles. Special Agent Brandon Fisher immediately recognizes the murders aren’t the work of a first-time killer.

His supervisor with the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, Jack Harper, has crossed paths with this killer before. Six victims. Three couples. Three states. The predator who calls himself the Leopard has spent years giving his victims a head start before tracking them down with ruthless precision.

As Brandon and his team close in, the Leopard adapts, staying one step ahead of the FBI. When they uncover a buried family secret, the investigation is turned on its head, and the hunters become the hunted. Unless they stop the Leopard first, one of their own—or someone they love—could become his next victim.

Perfect for fans of gripping FBI investigations, relentless serial killers, and pulse-pounding suspense. Readers who enjoy Lisa Regan, Robert Dugoni, and Melinda Leigh will love this addictive crime thriller.

The bodies of a husband and wife are found in a patch of woods in small-town, rural Arkansas by a neighboring farmer. They were shot with an arrow, gutted, and left to bleed out. The killer also removed their eyes and replaced them with large cat’s-eye marbles. FBI Special Agent Brandon has seen this signature before, as has his boss, Supervisory Special Agent Jack Harper. Jack has seen this killer's work six times, three couples, over three states. They named him the Leopard, as he hunts his prey like a wild, hungry cat. He's never been identified, and known to wear multiple disguises, and use many different aliases. Harper has a real hunger to catch this man .. but the killer always seems to be at least one step ahead .. and now the hunter has become the hunter. No one on Jack's team is safe. One of them—or someone they love—may become the Leopard’s next victim. This is a novel with an enthralling story line and plenty of action. It doesn't take long to become completely enraptured in the pace of the plot. Characters are solidly drawn and lend credibility to the story. There are twists and turns that lead to a most explosive conclusion. Many thanks to the author / Hibbert & Stiles Publishing / Netgalley for the digital copy of this police procedural/crime fiction.
