About this audiobook

A friends-to-lovers dark romantic comedy full of murder, chaos, and spice, unlike anything you’ve heard before.

Every serial killer needs a friend. Every game must have a winner.

When a chance encounter sparks an unlikely bond between rival murderers Sloane and Rowan, the two find something elusive—the friendship of a like-minded, pitch-black soul. From small-town West Virginia to upscale California, from downtown Boston to rural Texas, the two hunters collide in an annual game of blood and suffering, one that pits them against the most dangerous monsters in the country.

But as their friendship develops into something more, the restless ghosts left in their wake are only a few steps behind, ready to claim more than just their newfound love.

Can Rowan and Sloane dig themselves out of a game of graves?

Or have they finally met their match?

It's difficult to put my thoughts into words on this book. On one hand,I like the casual, young style of writing, but on the other I think it was pushed too far and feels almost juvenile. Like a story someone would have written in middle school. The passage of time that supposedly occurs does not feel like it contains any significant character growth. While the MCs do have some relatable feelings, it feels forced. I feel like I enjoy the idea of this story more than the story itself. The voice acting was a bit off for me. Some parts were too loud and others too quiet. I shouldn't have to adjust my volume twice a chapter. The start of each chapter, by which I mean the number and POV announcement, were startling at first. It's said so quickly it's almost garbled for the first few and I wasn't really sure what was being said for the first few chapters. The actual reading of the story was very well done despite the volume issues.

Funny and witty. Never thought i would want to gag and laugh at the same time. Deliciously dark, and I'll never look at ice-cream the same way again.
