Texas Revenge

Texas Revenge

He hung up his badge to drift. But on the Texas border, the past always rides a fast horse.

Former U.S. Marshal Eldridge Sample came to the dusty town of Agua Negra looking for a ten-cent whiskey and a night’s sleep. What he found was a war.

When a dynamite blast shatters the local jail and the ruthless outlaw Jack Mantooth escapes—leaving a young Texas Ranger dead in the street and the town paralyzed by fear—Sample knows his drifting days are done. He isn't the law anymore, but he can't watch a killer ride away laughing.

Teaming up with Boone, a grizzled, old-school Ranger carrying a bullet wound and a forty-year grudge, Sample embarks on a suicidal pursuit into the unforgiving Devil’s Spine. It’s a landscape of razor-sharp rock, blistering heat, and poisoned wells, where the only thing harder than the terrain is the men hunting them.

As the chase bleeds south toward the Rio Grande, the line between justice and vengeance blurs. With Mantooth racing to sell stolen arms to a Mexican general and Boone’s strength fading with every mile, Sample must rely on his tracker’s eye and a steady hand.

From a desperate standoff in a crumbling mission to a heart-stopping final shot across the international line, Texas Revenge is a story of grim determination and the heavy price of a badge.

"Just put him down."

That was the promise. And Eldridge Sample never breaks a promise.

Perfect for fans of Elmore Leonard’s gritty dialogue, the dark atmosphere of Cormac McCarthy’s Blood Meridian, and the relentless pacing of Lonesome Dove. Texas Revenge is a raw, hard-hitting Western about the violence of the frontier and the men who stand against it.
