Hellhounds Need Love, too

I adopted the scariest dog at the shelter. Turns out, my perfect guard dog is actually a 200-year-old hellhound with commitment issues.

Cody Hahn just wanted protection from his bullies. What he got was Killer—200 pounds of midnight-black menace that no one else dared adopt. Sure, Killer looks like he crawled straight out of a nightmare, but he's the best thing that's happened to Cody since his grandmother died.

There's just one tiny problem: Killer isn't actually a dog.

Zeff has been stuck in hellhound form at the pound for weeks, resigned to his fate, when a golden-haired angel walks in and claims him without hesitation. Now he's living his best life on a south Louisiana farm, dining on home-cooked meals and sleeping in his human's bed. The fact that he's completely, irrevocably bonded to said human? Just a minor complication he'll deal with later.

But when Cody's bullies escalate to attempted arson and an ancient demon lord threatens Haven, Zeff's secret comes out in the most dramatic way possible. Now Cody has to decide: run screaming from the supernatural world he never knew existed, or embrace the fact that his guard dog is actually a centuries-old warrior who would burn down the world to keep him safe.
