The House of Rimmon

After being betrayed by his beloved wife, the commander of the Syrian army, Naaman, finds help from a captive maid, Ruahmah. Cursed with leprosy by his god, Naaman is led by Ruahmah to Elisha, a prophet of her people’s god. Along the way, Naaman is confronted by his own commitments to faith, honor, and his nation.

In this dramatic adaptation of the story of Naaman and Elisha, Henry van Dyke illuminates a brief but intriguing Biblical narrative, interweaving themes of love, patriotism, and fidelity.
