About this audiobook

Help Your Toddler Build the Social Skills That Support a Lifetime of Healthy Relationships

Does your toddler grab toys, interrupt conversations, refuse to share, struggle around other children, or become overwhelmed when play does not go their way?

These behaviours do not mean you are raising a selfish, unfriendly, or badly behaved child. Toddlers are still learning how to understand emotions, communicate their needs, wait, cooperate, respect boundaries, and recognize what other people may be feeling.

Social Intelligence for Toddlers gives parents a practical, compassionate way to teach these important abilities without yelling, shaming, forcing affection, or expecting adult-level self-control from a developing child.

Designed for parents and caregivers of children approximately 1 to 4 years old, this easy-to-follow guide turns play, conversations, family routines, outings, and everyday challenges into meaningful social-learning opportunities.

Inside This Book, You Will Discover How to:

1. Teach 6 essential social abilities: empathy, emotional intelligence, communication, sharing, cooperation, and friendship skills

2. Help your toddler identify and express emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, excitement, and frustration

3. Replace grabbing, hitting, biting, pushing, and shouting with words, gestures, and safer responses

4. Teach turn-taking and waiting without forcing your child to surrender every valued possession

5. Prepare your toddler for playdates, childcare, preschool, parties, visitors, and unfamiliar social situations

6. Support shy, cautious, highly active, speech-delayed, sensory-sensitive, or differently communicating children

7. Handle rejection, exclusion, conflict, and social mistakes without damaging your child’s confidence

8. Use dolls, puppets, books, songs, movement, role-play, and household routines to make learning enjoyable

9. Build a personal social-skills plan that reflects your toddler’s age, temperament, abilities, and needs

Practical Help for Real Parenting Moments

Across 9 detailed chapters and nearly 200 practical lessons, examples, and teaching strategies, you will learn what to say and do when your toddler:

• Takes another child’s toy

• Refuses to share or wait

• Hits, bites, pushes, or throws

• Becomes nervous around unfamiliar people

• Struggles to join other children

• Cannot explain what is wrong

• Ignores another person’s boundaries

• Becomes upset after hearing no

• Needs help recovering from conflict or disappointment

You will also learn why forced apologies, unwanted hugs, constant correction, negative labels, and unrealistic expectations can interfere with genuine social development. Instead, the book shows you how to encourage meaningful repair, respectful communication, emotional awareness, and voluntary kindness.

Your toddler does not need to become the loudest, most outgoing, or most obedient child in the room. Your child needs patient guidance, useful words, safe opportunities to practise, and the confidence that mistakes can be corrected.

Turn ordinary moments into powerful lessons in empathy, friendship, and emotional growth.

Start helping your toddler become a kinder, more confident, cooperative, and socially capable child today.

Very educational and inspiring. Anything that will ease parenting and make it even more fun is welcome. This in particular has helped me through rough times when I thought everything I'm doing is wrong. I'd recommend to any new parent trying to teach their kid emotional and social intelligence. Also if you want your kids to be independent and to make better decisions on their own, this is for you.

Brilliant guide for taking care of toddlers and teaching them social intelligence for now and the future. I believe kids with high social intelligence tend to do better socially and make better life choices when they become adults. Learning starts early and the best investment is making sure they equipped with the proper intelligence.
