About this audiobook
A big black bear has arrived in the Green Forest—and nothing will ever be quite the same again.
Buster Bear is enormous, curious, and always hungry. When he moves into the Green Forest near the Laughing Brook, the smaller animals do not know what to think. Some are frightened, some are suspicious, and others cannot resist watching to see what the newcomer will do next.
Buster soon fills his days with fishing, searching for food, meeting his new neighbors, and learning the ways of the forest. His adventures bring him face-to-face with Little Joe Otter, Sammy Jay, Blacky the Crow, Farmer Brown’s Boy, and many other familiar woodland characters.
But life in the Green Forest is full of surprises. Whether Buster is competing for fish, getting himself into trouble, or discovering why a bear should never put his head inside a tin pail, every misadventure teaches him something about friendship, fairness, courage, and sharing.
Warm, humorous, and filled with gentle observations of animal behavior, The Adventures of Buster Bear is a timeless nature story from beloved children’s author Thornton W. Burgess.
Narrated by Michele Wagner, this charming audiobook invites young listeners and families into the lively world of the Green Forest, where every creature has a personality and every adventure brings a lesson.
