The Reluctant Conscript (Book 2: Losing Ground): An Epic Military Sci-Fi Saga

Book 2 – Losing Ground

The war has only just begun, and humanity is already paying the price.

As the Gorlan Collective presses deeper into Imperial space, entire colonies are pushed to the brink of destruction. Every victory comes at an unbearable cost, and every retreat leaves thousands of lives hanging in the balance. Soldiers fight impossible battles while political leaders struggle to maintain control over an empire slowly unraveling from within.

For Sam Levine, there is no longer any path back to the quiet life he once knew. Branded by his past and burdened with knowledge that powerful factions would kill to possess, he is forced to navigate a galaxy where trust is a luxury and betrayal waits around every corner. Criminal syndicates, covert operatives, and Imperial agents all have their own agendas, and Sam finds himself trapped in the middle of a conflict far greater than himself.

Meanwhile, the front lines grow increasingly desperate. Courage alone cannot stop an enemy that never stops advancing, and the cost of survival demands sacrifices few are willing to make. As old loyalties begin to fracture and hidden conspiracies emerge, Sam realizes that the greatest threat to humanity may not come from the aliens at all—but from the secrets buried within the Empire itself.

Losing Ground raises the stakes with larger battles, deeper conspiracies, and relentless suspense, delivering an unforgettable chapter in this epic military sci-fi saga where every decision could determine the fate of entire worlds.
