Murder Beneath the Surface
About this audiobook
Maple Glade is the prettiest town on the coast, with painted cottages, fresh scones, and neighbours who know your business before you do. Mystery writer Jade Reed moved here for some peace and quiet. She probably should have checked the details first.
When a dock foreman is found dead on the rocks below the lighthouse, everyone in town has a theory, and all of them point to Jade. The reason? The dead man was holding a scrap of paper with three words: Ask Jade Reed.
She has never met him and has no idea why he would write her name as his last act. But Jade has one habit she can't shake: she never lets a loose thread go. The more she investigates, the more this warm little town comes apart, revealing its harbour, its history, and a secret it has quietly kept for a hundred years.
Inspector Axel Ford wishes she would stay out of it. He also wants her to lock her door. Jade plans to do neither.
Cosy, twisty and hard to put down, Murder Beneath the Surface is the first Maple Glade Mystery. It’s perfect for anyone who loves a nosy heroine, a reluctant inspector, and a small town where the prettiest places hide the biggest secrets.
