The Eden Fury Mysteries (Book 1: Great Balls of Fury)

Eden Fury never wanted to be a supernatural.

She wanted a normal life, a respectable career, and a badge that meant she was unquestionably on the side of good. But after a routine FBI drug investigation goes horribly wrong, Eden accidentally siphons a vampire’s power and nearly kills her own partner. Her secret is exposed, and her career takes an unexpected turn: she is transferred to the Federal Bureau of Magic and sent back to her hometown of Chipping Cheddar, Maryland.

Unfortunately, small-town life comes with very big problems.

When the local police chief is found dead in the Chesapeake Bay, Eden is assigned to investigate. The evidence points toward something far more dangerous than an ordinary murderer—a demon hiding among the town’s supernatural residents. With her sarcastic wizard assistant Neville at her side, Eden must identify the killer before it strikes again.

But solving the case means confronting a truth Eden has spent her entire life avoiding: she isn't human, and her supernatural blood may make her far more dangerous than the monsters she hunts.

As secrets surface and the body count threatens to rise, Eden must decide what kind of creature she really wants to be.

Because sometimes the hardest monster to defeat…is the one inside you.
