4.5 stars — Wow. This was everything I didn’t know I was needing. I found myself smiling in absolute delight about a gagillion times in this book, and that was just…perfection. at first I was dubious about a sapphic romance being written and narrated by a man. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. this book has firmly formed my opinion about audiobooks being narrated by their own author (when they have the voice acting skills necessary) generally being the ideal way to go. cozy, sweet, and just the thing to give an old, road weary adventurer hope.

What a fun book! I won't give any spoilers, I'll just say it's a great change of pace from the fantasy and action fiction I normally enjoy.
