Dinner at Eight Sharp

In a luxury smart home designed to anticipate her every need, Melanie Westwood should feel safe. Instead, she feels watched.

After marrying brilliant corporate strategist Patrick Sterling, Melanie traded the chaos of her independent artist life for a world of comfort, security, and silence. Their isolated architectural masterpiece is flawless—climate-controlled, AI-managed, and protected by an invisible web of technology. But when Melanie discovers a hidden camera inside the one room her husband promised would remain private, the illusion of perfect love begins to fracture.

As she quietly investigates the systems controlling the house, Melanie uncovers something far more terrifying than surveillance: every message, movement, and choice in her life has been carefully monitored, filtered, and manipulated. The home is not protecting her. It is imprisoning her.

Trapped inside a beautiful digital cage with a man who always seems one step ahead, Melanie must decide whether escape is still possible—or whether she surrendered her freedom long before she ever realized she was trapped.

Dinner at Eight Sharp is a tense, atmospheric psychological thriller blending emotional suspense with chilling near-future technology, exploring obsession, control, intimacy, and the terrifying cost of feeling “safe.”
