Rreth këtij libri audio
The Visigothic Kingdom explores one of the most dramatic transformations in the history of the Iberian Peninsula. The book follows the final centuries of the Visigothic Kingdom, from its consolidation in Toledo and conversion to Catholicism to its internal struggles, political instability, and ultimate collapse before the Muslim conquest of 711.Through the rise of figures such as Tariq ibn Ziyad, Charles Martel, and Abd al-Rahman I, the narrative traces the birth of Al-Andalus and the emergence of a new Islamic civilization in medieval Spain. This third volume examines legendary events like the Battle of Guadalete and the Battle of Tours, while also exploring the creation of the Umayyad Emirate of Córdoba, the coexistence of cultures, and the fusion of Roman, Visigothic, Berber, Arab, Jewish, and Christian traditions.
