"WANTED: Companion for sick wife.
Landing a job caring for the unresponsive wife of celebrity podcaster Colin Harrington could be the best thing that's happened to me in a long time. I get a place to live, a paycheck, and a way to salvage my comatose career. It's my last chance to finally prove the doubters wrong. I have to make it work.
All I need to do is survive a few months in the eerie, high-tech halls of the Harrington's mansion. But caring for Colin's wife Kara is testing the limits of my sanity. Doors seem to open and close on their own, shadows shift in the corners of my vision, and I can't shake the feeling that I'm being watched.
I wouldn't mind if it was Colin watching. He's been through hell, and it has been years since his wife's accident. Maybe it's time he moved on—and maybe I'm the only one who can help him.
Then I find a cassette tape that reveals a shocking truth . . .
Someone in the house has a dark secret—one they'll do anything to protect. But they're not the only ones with something to hide.
I have a secret of my own.
