The Blessed: A Grand Epic Poem

What if the known world was much bigger than you thought, and you were called upon to defend it?

Sagir, the young leader of the order of wizards and the chosen Blessed of the God of Intelligence, and his fiery little pixie companion, Fre, must deliver their home, the fantastic and perilous land of Terravir, from the closing grasp of Xolis, a mysterious warlord from an unknown realm, whose armies have swept across the land.

And this isn’t the only bad news: not only have all the major armies and lords of Terravir been defeated, but the remaining Blessed – those endowed with Godly gifts – have fled, gone missing, or worse, joined forces with the invader.

This leaves just Sagir, who’s deathly afraid of conflict, and Fre, who, though bold and mischievous, is simply too small, to reclaim their world.

Yet, all hope is not lost: Sagir summons a warrior from the West, the rumours of his prowess in battle having been trumpeted across the winds of the turbulent west channel.

He is Virilus Magnus, master of the Empire of the Thunderwold. Fearless, seasoned, and immensely strong, he undertakes the challenge to rid Terravir of her oppressor. However, his fate, forged by a deep personal tragedy, is also bound in a mystery that begins to unravel as he fights...

Together, in this fantasy epic, these three heroes must collect the survivors, raise an army of monsters from the Wild Lands, gather the Blessed, and eject the invader. What begins as a rebellion turns into something more tremendous than anyone could ever have imagined, and reaches all the way to the Gods themselves...

Ambitiously composed in Sesta Rima – rhyming 6 line stanzas – and with a compelling cast of unique characters, The Blessed offers a galloping fantasy epic experience unlike anything else.
