Steve grew up on a stony stretch of the south coast, nourished by a diet of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. For a kid who read so many books and asked so many questions, it took Steve an embarrassingly long time to realise that he too could be an author. It took even longer to become one. Along the way, he's been a product designer, a communications director, a technology consultant, a speechwriter, a magazine editor, a webcaster, and a copywriter. Though rarely at the same time. Nowadays he writes tech-filled adventures for curious young readers. He is not a spy, nor is he a robot. Well, not completely.

Louis Hill is a London-based actor. He can be heard on commercials for Instagram and Qatar Airways, TV shows and films such as Say Nothing on Disney+ and Paddington 3, and a wide range of audiobooks like The Bletchley Riddle by Steve Sheinkin and Ruta Sepetys and Larry Hayes's The Nightmares of Finnegan Quick. Louis is also a published author, with his debut novel, Let the Light In.
