Rose Red

Good story overall. I downloaded Rose Red thinking it was 'adult' material (read: audio-porn). It is not. I listened to the whole book because it was an interesting story and I enjoyed it. Four stars rather than five because, A) most 5-star reviews are b.s. (they can be purchased in bulk); B) The story was good, but it wasn't "can't put it down" riveting kind of good; C) While I appreciate that auto-narration made the author able to offer the audiobook for free (thank you, sincerely) I feel like she could perhaps have narrated it herself or offered the job to someone who would have volunteered to do it without pay (to get their name out there?) and had a better audiobook for it. I will be listening to the next title in the S.B.I. series, and most likely other titles by Stephanie Van Orman in the near future. To the author: Thank you for offering your work for free, not many would do so. I hope you have read my honest review. Contact me if you like, maybe I could read for you.
