Alpha’s Temporary Mate: A Fake Mating Pact, Forced Proximity, and Fated Mate Werewolf Romance

He needed a mate for ninety days. I needed an Alpha powerful enough to keep me alive. Neither of us expected the bond between us to be real.

When I cross into Alpha Thistle Karnstein's territory with Morgana Karp's wolves hunting me, I have one advantage left: an ancient sanctuary law that forces Ashvale to hear me before handing me over.

Thistle has problems of his own.

In ninety days, he must appear before the Alpha Council with a recognized mate or risk losing control of his pack.

So we make a deal.

Three months.

One public mating pact.

One shared bedroom.

No claiming bite.

No obligations beyond survival.

And absolutely no feelings.

It should be simple.

Except Thistle becomes dangerously protective whenever another wolf touches me. Our temporary bond reacts in ways it shouldn't. And sharing one bed with a powerful, controlled Alpha becomes much harder when every instinct in me already knows the truth.

Thistle is my fated mate.

He just doesn't know it yet.

But the bond between us isn't my most dangerous secret.

Someone inside Ashvale knows who I really am. Someone is leaking pack defenses to the wolves hunting me. And the bloodline I've spent years hiding may be the only thing capable of exposing a conspiracy buried deep inside the Alpha Council.

Soon our fake relationship becomes tangled with betrayal, stolen territory, pack politics, deadly challenges, and a truth that could cost Thistle everything he fought to protect.

When fate finally reveals what we are to each other, it won't be enough.

Because I don't need an Alpha who claims me because destiny says I belong to him.

I need a man willing to choose me when choosing the truth costs him something real.

And Thistle will have to prove that being my fated mate is very different from being the man I choose forever.
