4.25 ⭐️ Holy guacamole did I have fun with this audiobook! Let’s start with the narration because Vikas Adam? He did such an amazing job bringing this story to life. From the very beginning, I was hooked. He made each character’s voice distinctive and kept it consistent, but you also felt each of their personalities. I also loved the overall energy he brought and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future books narrated by him. Usually I’m not a huge fan of insta lust or insta anything in general, but Orok’s instant attraction to Alexo? The way he starts to immediately obsess over him and gets a lil flustered? Well, I freaking loved it and ate it up. And it just gets even better when their brief interaction turns into a fake dating situation because you know what that means y’all 🤭 I do wish I read The Entanglement of Rival Wizards before reading this one to get more of a backstory of what Orok is going through and to see more of his friendship with Seb. You can bet that I will be going back though and reading it while impatiently waiting for the next book in the series. If it’s going to be about who I think it is, I seriously can’t wait!!
