Where the Broken Bloom

Even before I do a review of this book I will Recommend it. A beautiful well written story that held my interest throughout. There is a villain, suspense, drama, danger, arson, assault, kidnapping, and attempted murder, a cave-in, and romance. This is Adam Westfield an ex-friar and widowed mother of two, Sage Hammond and her children Jenna and Matthew. The story flows smoothly from one page to the other. Wonderful Story & Narration🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt! The Road to Solace By: Samantha A. Cole Narrated by: Donovan Kane I loved everything about this book, Samantha A. Cole is a gifted author, she has a wonderful writing style, her storylines are original and interesting, they captivated me from start to end. The characters are complex and well developed, they are realistic and easy to relate to. Adam Westfield captured my heart right from the start, a good man forced to do a bad thing, he chose to sacrifice himself and paid for his sins dearly. Yet he still could not forgive himself for what he done, he could not see the goodness of his deeds only the bad. After serving his time he sets out roaming the country, stopping at different parts and working small jobs. He finds himself in Rosewood, Oklahoma becomes friendly with the local Pastor who then refers him to a ranch that is in need of ranch hands. Sage Hammond’s husband died in a riding accident, leaving her to run ranch that has been in his family for years. She also two young children, Jenna and Matthew. She is having financial problems and is barely making ends meet and payments to the bank. When Adam arrives on her ranch looking for a job she goes to send him away, as he is leaving someone else pulls up, Sage’s neighbor telling her she should sell him her ranch before she goes into foreclosure. Upset that he knew her business she throws him off her ranch and Adam backs her up. Adam goes to leave but she tells him he has the job. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is plotted out nicely and there is never a dull moment. It was great getting to know these two people better and to see them bond, they were great together and for each other. Adam was great with the kids and working on the ranch too. A lot goes on in this book, there is plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some mystery, twists and turns, some thrilling and suspenseful moments, and a whole lot of heart and heartfelt moments. Samantha A. Cole, thank you for this wonderful story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I listened to the Audiobook version, Donovan Kane is a terrific narrator and voice artist. He did a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work & his characters as he projects their emotions into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. This was a completely different story than I was expecting by Samantha Cole, but I loved it. The storyline was great and I loved the characters. I was so invested that I didn't want to pause the audiobook. I want to see if if this is a standalone or if it's part of a series. Definitely would listen to more in this world.
