Under His Law

Yumi

I built my career by being the best defense attorney in the city. There was never a case I couldn’t win, and if I couldn’t, I wouldn’t take it on.

But in the case of my heart versus the gentle, loving, ruthless, unhinged Emery Aldana, it was one case I knew I’d never win. Our love story started off strong, immense, and passionate. My young heart was trapped by this human force—until I discovered his dark secret that ultimately destroyed our once fiery love story.

Emery

Being the head of a criminal organization, I carried a lot of weight on my shoulders … including my family. Having to hire the best defense team to defend my brother and cousin on a murder charge, it felt impossible that I would ever get away from the darkness that plagued my world for years.

Until she returned.

My light. My world. My refuge.

This time, no one was going to stand in the way of me obtaining my light, my love, or my peace.
