DRAGONFALL CHRONICLES: Forbidden Magic (Book 2 — Dragon's Inquisition)

Someone is using forbidden magic. And the evidence points straight at Grey.

Kelsey Kelly thought learning that dragons were real would be the strangest thing that ever happened to her.

She was wrong.

When unexplained surges of magic begin appearing around a gathering of supernatural creatures, Grey finds himself under suspicion. The magical authorities believe someone is using forbidden magic—and Grey has every reason to hide what he knows.

Then an enforcer named Carrow arrives to investigate.

As Kels, Grey, and their unlikely allies begin searching for the truth, they uncover something far more disturbing than a simple violation of magical law. Someone is experimenting with magic in ways that can alter living creatures, drain magical power, and threaten the fragile balance between the magical world and the human one.

But the deeper Kels digs, the more she realizes that the people behind the attacks may not be acting alone.

Old grudges, manipulation, forbidden experiments, and a growing threat are drawing the group toward an enemy they barely understand.

And when someone close to them turns against Grey, Kels is forced to decide exactly how far she is willing to go to protect him.
