The Shinobi of Starlight

In the imperial courts of ancient Japan, Blake Alexander is known as a gifted geiko, a foreign-born magician, and the emperor’s most cherished friend. But beneath the silks and songs lies a secret forged in trauma and starlight.

After a brutal attack shatters his world, Blake becomes Hoshi No Michi—the Shinobi of Starlight—an unseen protector who moves through shadows to defend the vulnerable. His legend grows, whispered through the capital… until a single careless joke exposes him to deadly enemies.

When his beloved wife Angela is kidnapped, Blake is forced to confront not only the assassins who hunt him, but the truth he has hidden for centuries: he is no ordinary man. He is a Magician—an immortal sorcerer, a fallen emperor, a being whose tears turn to sapphire and whose soul refuses to stay dead.

As ancient loyalties fracture and dark clans rise, Blake must choose between the life he built in secrecy and the destiny he can no longer outrun. Love, myth, and cosmic power collide in a tale that spans lifetimes, revealing the legend behind the mask… and the monster he fears he truly is.

A sweeping fantasy of devotion, identity, and rebirth, The Shinobi of Starlight blends Japanese court drama with gothic magic and timeless romance.
