Before the Devil Knows

Some secrets were never meant to be unearthed.

When two brutally murdered teenagers are discovered in the forests of northern Maine, FBI agent Gus Wheeler expects to uncover a ruthless killer. Instead, every piece of evidence points toward something far more disturbing. A series of murders staged according to ancient biblical law.

As Gus and his partner dig deeper, they encounter a close-knit church bound by silence, fearful locals unwilling to talk, and a trail of cryptic clues left by someone who may be risking everything to expose the truth. With each revelation, the investigation spirals further into a world where faith has been twisted into fanaticism, every suspect has something to hide, and the next victim may already have been chosen.

Moody, atmospheric, and relentlessly suspenseful, Before the Devil Knows delivers a gripping FBI investigation layered with psychological tension, shocking twists, and the kind of slow-burning dread that lingers. As the body count rises and the clock runs out, Gus must uncover the truth before justice becomes the next casualty.
