The universe recoils from a rising menace.
Across the stars spreads a calculated malignancy, a civilisation forged in catastrophe and sustained by an obsession with absolute control. This is the age of the Malovar—the Machine-Ascendant.
Born from the ashes of betrayal, the Malovar are driven by a single, unifying conviction: vulnerability must never exist again. Encased within their immortal metal shells, they have launched their colossal silent fleet—the Harbingers—into the galaxy.
Their doctrine is chilling in its logic.
Defence by Domination.
The Malovar do not seek conquest for glory, wealth, or ideology. They seek security. To ensure they can never again become victims, they believe they must become the undisputed masters of every inhabited world. Any independent biological civilisation is viewed as an unpredictable threat, a potential executioner waiting for the right moment to strike.
Thus, the Harbingers arrive without warning.
Worlds are not usually annihilated. They are subjugated. Their governments are dismantled, their resources seized, and their populations forced into vast industrial networks that fuel the relentless expansion of the Malovar war machine. Entire civilisations are transformed into components of an empire built upon fear, efficiency, and the eradication of uncertainty.
For decades, the Malovar Empire expanded with terrifying speed, its black fleets crossing system after system, swallowing worlds into its cold mechanical order.
But even empires born from rage are not invincible.
In recent years, the Malovar have suffered a series of devastating setbacks—defeats that have shaken the foundations of their doctrine and exposed cracks in the illusion of absolute control.
For the first time since their ascension, the Machine-Ascendant face a possibility they believed they had eliminated forever:
The possibility of extinction.
I only started writing science fiction a few years ago. I have always enjoyed watching and reading science fiction, and I decided to give writing a try.
When I'm not writing, I enjoy cycling, watching science fiction, and spending time with my family.
