About this audiobook

The Astronomical & Biological Unfolding of Time

A Logarithmic Journey through the Cosmos and Life.

Rather than unfolding evenly, the universe evolves in pulses—leaps of increasing complexity that reveal a hidden structure beneath the surface of time. This work introduces a logarithmic model of emergence, tracing deep transformations from the cosmos to consciousness. The first volume follows the astronomical unfolding of time, charting five major nodes in the universe's evolution. From formless beginnings to galaxies, from rocky planets to the emergence of life and symbiotic cells, each pulse marks a radical shift. Events cluster not randomly, but at regular intervals—visible only when scaled logarithmically. In this framing, time becomes not a backdrop, but a patterned terrain where the improbable becomes inevitable. The second volume explores the biological unfolding of time, tracking ten pulses in life's 4-billion-year journey. Each node—4, 2, 1 billion years ago and beyond—ushers in a new form: from the first cells to complex bodies, from mobility to consciousness. Drawing on biology, paleontology, and molecular research, the model reveals how life expands in interiority, freedom, and unity, often after long periods of preparation.Together, these works offer a unified framework where astronomy and biology converge—a map not only of what has happened, but of how complexity may yet unfold. This is a story of time as pulse and pattern. A story where life and matter are co-creators. A story that dares to suggest we are part of an unfolding not random, but radiant with meaning.

About the author

The author holds degrees in philosophy and psychology, and has taught courses in history, Indigenous studies, and dream interpretation. He co-founded and taught at a progressive charter school that emphasized arts integration and scientific inquiry.

His early research identified and published a logarithmic patterning of time in biological and cultural evolution, revealing deep pulses of change across life's 4-billion-year history. That earlier work—Ten Pulses of Evolution—is included here in full and explores the rise of life, mobility, and symbolic consciousness through a mathematical and evolutionary lens.

Building on that foundation, this current volume extends his inquiry to the astronomical unfolding of time—from the birth of galaxies to the emergence of planetary life. By uniting both the cosmic and biological stories, he seeks to illuminate the larger unfolding of complexity that links matter and life, planet and organism, in a shared temporal rhythm.
