This is a fun standalone Superman book. The reader is great. The story takes place entirely in Smallville with tennage Clark, but he does don the costume eventually. Pete is not present, but Lana and Lex are. There's a romance with a new character, and I wish we'd gotten a follow-up to see where it goes. The mystery of the story is fun, and it does have a big action sequence at the end. If you enjoy Superman origin stories, give this one a listen.
