The Dating Mishaps of a Luckless Lawyer: Tinder, Trauma & Terrible Decisions

Geoffrey Tang is a successful Sydney lawyer with terrible investment instincts, zero emotional maturity, and a dating life so catastrophic it borders on supernatural.

After surviving one hundred Tinder dates without meaningful intimacy, Geoffrey becomes trapped in an escalating nightmare of humiliating romantic disasters involving vanishing dates, manipulative exes, bizarre misunderstandings, conspiracy theorists, HIV panic, soccer drama, government secrets, psychedelic trips, a dangerously unstable woman with a kidnapping fetish, and possibly the world’s first seductive humanoid robot.

Through it all, Geoffrey remains convinced that happiness is just one more date away.

But as his romantic misadventures spiral further into absurdity, Geoffrey is forced to confront an uncomfortable possibility: maybe the problem isn’t Tinder, modern dating, or bad luck.

Maybe the problem is him.

The Dating Mishaps of a Luckless Lawyer: Tinder, Trauma & Terrible Decisions is a darkly comic, wildly chaotic satire about loneliness, validation addiction, modern dating culture, and the disastrous lengths people go to avoid confronting themselves.

Basically, it’s what happens when a man mistakes emotional growth for swiping technique. A thriving modern condition.
