The Ultimate Goal

Claudia

I swore I would never fall for another hockey player. Not after a fling turned into a pregnancy, and when I offered him a chance to walk away, he took it. I can raise my daughter alone. I'd been raising myself for years. PhD completed and a job lined up, I didn't need him or his money. She was almost four months old when he demanded to meet her in New York. I flew out, only to find he had forgotten to book the hotel room he promised, and every room in the city was booked. The next day, he threatened to sue for custody and served me. That night, he picked a fight after the game. A fight that brought an unexpected protector into my life. Another player. His rival.

The Bears traded him, but he is never far enough away. We still have to play his team, and with them always comes trouble. They lost, and he and a few others showed up at Icehouse to start something. I am not the guy who throws hands off the ice, but if something pops off, I back my team. That is what I was doing when he hit me from behind. Turns out it was the best hit I ever took. Because the woman he was harassing that night is now our new team psychologist. Single mom. Brilliant. Calm. Untouchable. I knew her without knowing her name. And now that she is here, I am not letting her face him or anything else alone.

The Ultimate Goal is a steamy, single mom, second chance pro hockey romance with a protective hero who doesn't stop until he gets what he wants.

Contains mature themes.
