This incredible story follows Lauren Kessler in her story as a Resident Assistant at an Alzheimer's Caregiver Facility, Maplewood, years after feeling like she failed at her part in taking care of and being present with her own Mother while she lived out the last years of her life with Alzheimer's. Lauren explains the different personalities, strengths, and weaknesses each resident that she is responsible for caring for has. This story gives you all the feels because you know these are real people that she encountered and this disease has taken claim to so many others all over the world. I fell in love with Hayes' need for undivided attention and wit, Rose's mischief, Mary Ann's independence, and Eloise's kind heart and need to feel loved.
