The Way Back to Eden: Book 2 of the Jaguar Oracle Series

When companions are scattered, the way home begins.

Swept far from one another, Oracle and his friends find themselves in a perilous and poetically charged realm stretching from the Brazos bottomlands to the Rio Grande borderlands, from well-ordered zoos to wildlife sanctuaries, and from high-tech ranches to high-end treehouses. Captive and cut off from all he loves, Oracle must recover lost secrets and rekindle the memory of Eden before the Valley’s fate slips beyond saving.

Three journeys. One calling. A reunion that will decide a world.

As Patch, Plod, and Bog search for Oracle, they stumble into the path of a retiring cartel boss, who chooses to stand between the lost boy Miracle and a sleepless malice. Yet can he hold back what hunts the child?

Through the help of a captive tiger, whispers of the vanished jaguarundi tribe reach Oracle as he imparts to creatures great and small the joy of remembering what Adam once spoke when he named them. Yet monsters stir in the dark—a mammoth catfish, a demon-driven cougar, and the ghost of a fisherman—while a bowhunting hermit who discovers the jaguar faces a choice that will alter everything.

Enter a world where serpents speak riddles, hedgehogs guide wanderers home, and the way back to Eden lies hidden in plain sight.

Pick up the trail. Begin again. Mend the world.
