One Degree of Perfect

Harmlessly flirting with my employee and friend is fine. I don't fantasize about her lithe body as I raise my head from between her trembling thighs. Much.

Lily Gray is an invaluable asset to my business, a brilliant designer I can't lose, and she's been dating the same weak-chinned man for eleven years. So, yeah, I don't need to worry about this unrelenting attraction sabotaging our friendship or my growing retail chain.

Until Lily rocks my world and tells me she broke up with the man-child. Now? There's more sexual tension between us than Viagra-pumped newlyweds forced to stay apart. Except there might be some touching. Slight grazing of her ribs through her sweater. Subtly brushing her blond hair off her forehead. Kissing her was never a choice, really. Tasting Lily is pure need.

But I don't do things by half measures. I cannonball into the deep end, even surprising Lily on her trip to Belize. Sun. Beach. String bikinis. Enough passion to add a chapter to the Kama Sutra.

Except Lily is acting odd after the trip. Picking her nails raw. Hiding things from me, the guy who knows her too well to buy her mumbled, I'm fine.

My mission is now to discover what's worrying her, because we're as perfect as couples get, and I'd fight a tank of sharks to make sure we end up together.
