About this audiobook

A totally gripping and heartbreaking page-turner with a gasp-out-loud twist from the million-copy-selling author Kathryn Hughes. Readers of Lisa Timoney, Susan Lewis and Emma Robinson will love this.

What if her lies ruined your life?

After traumatic events changed the course of her future, Cheyenne Delaney has grafted to build a stable life for herself and her son in the town where she grew up. But when she recognises a face at the school gate, suddenly time stands still.

Lisa Ryan has returned to the home she fled as a teenager. Now married to the successful Mark, she has shed any trace of the girl she used to be. When her shy son makes a friend at school, Lisa is delighted, until she realises who the boy's mother is.

Twenty years ago, Cheyenne and Lisa were at the centre of a scandal which changed both their lives for ever. Each of them told police a different side of the story, but only one was believed. Now the past is refusing to stay buried. And when the truth comes out, will everyone survive it?
