About this audiobook

They promise each other they won’t let it get weird. But they do. And it does…

Nomi Hannon is sick of losing. First, she failed to get her brother off on fraud charges. Then, she lost the practice they built together. She’s not about to lose the city council election. Too bad she just accidentally starred in a compromising photo that her squeaky-clean opponent is all too willing to use against her. Surely marrying the guy in the photo—her best friend, the only stable force in her life—will solve the problem…right?

Malone DuMar’s luck hasn’t been any better than Nomi’s. He’s not looking for a wife, not after his ex-fiancée stole his company. But Nomi has always been the one person he could count on. There’s no way he’s going to turn his back on her when she needs him the most.

It's a simple plan. Only pretend. That’s what they told themselves, anyway. But that was before they realized their friendship was on the line if their marriage of convenience went south. Before the kiss that changed everything…

The AI voice was so humdrum. The main characters acted like they weren't really friends. Basically, they knew each other since they were young, yet they knew literally nothing nothing and didn't talk about any main subjects in their life. How were they friends for so many years?! No real chemistry. This was a waste of time!

Predictable, friends to lovers. There was too much bad and forth with the hate to love. I get both had a lot of baggage, which was nice but I would have liked it if the whole blow-up was sooner and longer.

Review: This book is pure romance magic. Kathryn Cantrell writes with such warmth and sincerity that you feel completely wrapped up in the characters’ journey. The friends-to-lovers trope is handled perfectly—slow-burning, believable, and filled with delicious tension. The emotional stakes feel real, and the payoff is deeply satisfying. The chemistry between the leads sparkles from the very beginning, built on trust, history, and affection. Their banter feels natural, their struggles feel authentic, and their romantic moments are both tender and unforgettable. It’s the kind of story that makes you smile while reading and leaves your heart glowing long after you’ve finished. If you love sweet, heartfelt romances with emotional depth, undeniable chemistry, and a beautifully earned happily-ever-after, More Than Friends is an absolute must-read. Final Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 stars) Sweet, emotional, and utterly swoon-worthy—this is friends-to-lovers done right. 💕
