Prophecy's Fate

Kate was a simple farm girl. She had worked on the farm without complaint her entire life knowing that one day it would be hers. She did not really care all that much for society norms and trying to find a partner. Seh was more than content trying to keep things going there at the farm. Her aunt and cousin who lived with them since her own mother passed away were the ones who were running around and making sure that no one would even look in her direction. She was okay with that as long as they left her personally alone.

When two young men began to renovate the large mansion that was near the farm she had heard about it but never went to see them. That was until the formal ball that they held to open the house up for the neighbors and the town. Every person donned their best formal wear and went even her. Kate was surprised that when she arrived everyone seemed to be looking at her. When she went through the old fashioned receiving line the ball began with her and the second son opening the dance floor as the two of them danced first with no one else on the floor.

After the dance she was taken from the main room to have something shown to her. This was her engagement ball and it was seen years before she was born. This is where the prophecy begins.
