Stay Close

Some voices keep you company. One won't let you go.

In the quiet coastal town of Flounder Bay, secrets never stay hidden. They always find a way to be heard.

During the day, Lucy Valentine is the friendly voice on Coast FM. At night, she becomes Late Night Lucy, hosting a true-crime show where she remembers the forgotten dead and keeps the restless town company.

But recently, the calls have felt too close. The details are too personal. The gifts left just for her, like a wilted rose or a photo taken through her window, prove something terrible.

Someone is doing more than just listening.

For ten years, Caleb Jones has kept his distance from the town, his past, and anyone he could lose. Running his bar and working as a firefighter is enough for him. That changes when Lucy enters his life, along with a threat surrounding her that feels older and more patient than anyone expects.

The man hiding in the dark has done this before. He waited years for the last girl who sat in Lucy's chair. Now, he believes Lucy will understand him in a way she never did.

In Flounder Bay, the most dangerous people are not strangers. They are the ones who have always been there, holding the door, signing for the mail, the people you have walked past many times.

This time, Lucy might not survive to tell her own story.

It’s a fast-paced romantic suspense plot.
