About this audiobook
OVER 18 MILLION GRUFFALO BOOKS SOLD WORLDWIDE • From the creators of the #1 bestselling phenomenon Room on the Broom, this delightful book about a sly mouse with a big imagination introduces the larger-than-life Gruffalo. The perfect family read-aloud!
"Young readers will love the humor in this preposterous story. . . . Serve this one for a rollicking good time." –School Library Journal
Don’t miss the first new Gruffalo story in more than twenty years, Gruffalo Granny!
“A gruffalo? What’s a gruffalo?”
“A gruffalo! Why, didn’t you know?
He has terrible tusks, and terrible claws,
And terrible teeth in his terrible jaws.”
A mouse is taking a stroll through the wood when along comes a hungry fox, then an owl, and then a snake. The mouse is good enough to eat, but smart enough to know this, so he invents . . . the gruffalo! As Mouse explains, the gruffalo is a creature with knobbly knees and turned-out toes, and a poisonous wart at the end of its nose. But although his forest foes are scared away, Mouse has nothing to worry about. After all, there’s no such thing as a gruffalo . . . right?
Complete with Julia Donaldson’s trademark rhyming text, The Gruffalo is an instant classic tale that’s perfect for reading aloud at bedtime, story time, or any time!
