About this audiobook

The Bachelor meets Funny You Should Ask in this laugh-out-loud rom-com debut about a journalist who goes on reality TV only to find her country music star one-night stand is the host.

Georgia Rose is not going on the hit reality dating show Love Shack to find love. She’s there to write a killer exposé on the producers, which will guarantee the journalism job of her dreams. But when Georgia’s unforgettable one-night stand from the year before, country singer Rhett Auburn, steps into the Malibu mansion as the season’s new host, all of her carefully crafted plans unravel.

Caught up in the drama of backstabbing contestants, producer blackmail, and death-defying dates, Georgia must keep her identity—and history with Rhett—a secret. Despite the lies between them, it isn’t long before Georgia and Rhett’s heated behind-the-scenes moments start to feel more genuine than the romance Georgia’s faking for the cameras. But with her assignment unfinished and the executive producer on her tail, a second chance with Rhett could be her riskiest move of all.

For those that grew up watching the Bachelor franchise or those still watching- this one is for you! I haven't watched the franchise in years but this took me right back to the drama and scandals it brings to the lives of the contestants. Love Shack is a show where contestants come on to fight for the heart of the bachelor and win him over. Georgia isn't going on the show for the right reasons, she's going on to try to uncover the unseen side of the show and how the producers influence the outcome to help further her career in journalism. She's shocked to find her one night stand is the hosting the show and has to think quick to keep her cover and not be discovered by the producers, bachelor or other women, while also making it as far as she can to get the full experience and information she needs. Just like on the actual reality tv show, women are outing each other for being there for the wrong reasons, producers are influencing choices for both the bachelor and women, it's a fun hot and crazy ride! I enjoyed the narrators and easy to listen to! Thank you MacMillan for the gifted copy of the Most Eligible by Isabelle Engel on audio!

3.5⭐️ Georgia is a music journalist who goes undercover to expose the terrible environment the producers create on this Bachelor-like reality show. However, what she did not expect was for the host to be the man she had a one night stand and an instant connection with before disappearing the next day. One of the tropes I always have the hardest with is insta-love and that is what we get with Georgia and Rhett. While we do get flashbacks of their night together and why it meant so much to them, I didn’t feel the chemistry that you hope would expect. What made me continue with this book was the cast of side characters we were introduced to from the show and all the chaos that ensues. While I found the story to be okay, I listened to the audiobook for this one and the narrator did a great job bringing the all the characters to life. She made the story more engaging and a fun listen. Thank you so much to Macmillan audio for an ALC 🩷

Georgia infiltrates a reality dating show to write an exposé, but her plans go awry when her former one-night stand, country singer Rhett, is named the host. Reality show romance isn’t my favorite, but I loved this fun and heartwarming book. Georgia is a relatable heroine, and Rhett is an irresistible hero. I enjoyed the audiobook narration. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
