Excellence: Under Review: A Dark YA Thriller of Cyberbullying, Blackmail, and Going Viral

She didn’t lose control in the bathroom.

She lost it the moment someone decided her breakdown was content.

Nerea was built for “excellence”: straight A’s, a spotless record, a future everyone could brag about. Then one clip spread, the school “handled it,” and the crowd moved on—except it didn’t move on. It evolved.

Now the attacks aren’t just humiliation. They’re engineered.

Audio deepfakes. Stolen files. Password resets. “Helpful” adults with paperwork instead of protection. Friends turned into liabilities. And a message that keeps coming back like a leash:

Come alone.

As Nerea follows the trail to recover what was taken—her scholarship folder, her proof, her voice—she realizes the worst truth: this isn’t one bully. It’s a system. A network of students, social power, and institutional silence that knows exactly how to isolate a target… and make them look guilty for fighting back.

Because in this world, you don’t have to be wrong.

You just have to look wrong on camera.

EXCELLENCE is Book 2 of GEN Z: NO FILTER, a 50-book series about the hidden violence of being young online—where everything gets recorded, everyone has an opinion, and the truth is the first thing that goes missing.

If you’ve ever felt watched, judged, or one notification away from losing your life as you knew it…

this story will hit too close.

And you won’t be able to stop reading.
