Behold the Lamb of God... as a lamb without blemish and without spot (John 1:29, 36 and 1 Peter 1:19).
Did you know that:
•other stories were happening behind the scenes at Jesus' birth?
•"Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger," as spoken by the angel, had a special meaning?
•the wise men were not present immediately after Jesus' birth?
•lambs were symbols for Jesus from Genesis to Revelation?
The little lamb in this story answers some of these questions and tells of his role in the nativity story and beyond.
