Divine Presence is the indomitable engine of a healthy Christian life. Without it, life becomes a burden instead of a blessing. As children of God, we cannot do without this divine presence; it is the greatest asset in a believer's life. Therefore, turning our backs on it is an enormous and intolerable risk. Sadly, many people today, even Christians, can attend church services, seminars, Bible college, and conferences without truly carrying God's presence in their lives. Someone might argue, "But Pastor George, if someone is a child of God, they automatically carry God's presence." Well, it depends on what you mean, because if that were true, every Christian would be free from bondage.
When God is with you, His presence accompanies you. Jesus always did what pleased God, and God's presence followed Him wherever He went. Unfortunately, many Christians believe they carry God's presence simply because they are born again. However, carrying God's presence requires actively walking in a way that pleases Him. According to God's Word, faith, obedience, and holiness are some of the things that please God in Christ Jesus. Disobedience and a lack of the fear of God will always repel His presence from our lives. God forbid!
