Dreams. Goals. Plans.
You envision a dream, set a goal, and formulate a plan. I had diligently pursued all of these steps. I was on my way to obtaining my degree, engaging with breathtaking works of art, and unexpectedly falling into bed with my professor.
Yeah, that last bit wasn’t part of the grand scheme, but even I had to admit that it wasn’t an unwelcome deviation.
Ironically, despite my meticulous planning, attention to detail, and even despite my own deceptions, I ended up being the one deceived. Being manipulated and used.
He didn’t desire me for who I was; he merely coveted my connections.
He yearned for me because of my access to his prized painting.
And when he absconded into the night with the piece he’d been willing to betray me for, he shattered my heart.
Except, he got caught, and in doing so he inadvertently revealed my biggest secret.
My forgery.

Om forfatteren
Tate James is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance and suspense romance, with occasional forays into fantasy, paranormal romance, and urban fantasy. She was born and raised in Aotearoa (New Zealand) but now lives in Australia with her husband and their adorable crotchfruit. She is a lover of books, booze, cats, and coffee and is most definitely not a morning person. Tate is a bit too sarcastic, swears far too much for polite society, and definitely tells too many dirty jokes.
Lucas Webley has voiced commercial voice-overs, event announcements, animated characters, video game characters, and audiobooks. British by birth and with a range of regional dialects, Lucas has impeccable American and English accents, a ferocious guttural growl, and unparalleled range.
Michelle Sparks is a voice actor, narrator, and singer working in Los Angeles, CA. She came to voice acting by way of the movie industry, having worked in the editing department for several films and TV shows before finding her true passion. Michelle is well versed in the art of storytelling and brings her ear for dialects to the table, voicing characters with British, Russian, Irish, Australian, Norwegian, Navi (yes, from Avatar!)... and of course, Southern accents.
