About this audiobook

Falconfar is the third thrilling adventure in the Falconfar saga. Fantasy writer Rod Everlar is now hopelessly lost in the magical world he once thought he’d created, as he searches for his only friend, the guide who brought him there: the maimed warrior-woman Taeauna. She has been captured by the evil wizard Malraun, who has taken her to his bed—while Malraun’s armies conquer Falconfar, castle by castle and hold by hold.

Malraun has his rivals, other evil wizards who seek to defeat him and rule all Falconfar. Rod Everlar, the fell “Dark Lord” of legend, supposedly able to hurl world-shattering spells, is feared and hated by everyone...but can’t cast a single spell. Beset by the wizards, their armies, and the dragonlike monsters they command, Rod finds his luck running out as his ruthless foes discover a new world to conquer: our Earth.

About the author

Ed Greenwood was born on July 21 1959 in Canada. He is a fantasy writer and the original creator of the Forgotten Realms game world. He began writing articles about the Forgotten Realms for Dragon magazine beginning in 1979, and subsequently sold the rights to the setting to TSR, the creators of the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game, in 1986. He has written many Forgotten Realms novels, as well as numerous articles and D&D game supplement books. Greenwood discovered the Dungeons & Dragons game in 1975 and soon became a regular player. He used the Realms as a setting for his campaigns, which centered around the fictional locales of Waterdeep and Shadowdale, locations that would figure prominently in his later writing. According to Greenwood, his players' thirst for detail pushed him to further develop the Forgotten Realms setting. His works include Shandril's Sage, The Elminster Series, The Shadow of the Avatar Trilogy, The Comyr Saga, The Harpers, The Sundering and The Iron Assassin. Phil Gigante has narrated over 70 audiobooks including Audie Award winner The Dark Highlander, Savage Season, and The Defector.
