Caleb

Caleb -- the spy who believed God when ten others feared: wholehearted faith, courage in old age, and taking the mountain God promised (Numbers 13:30; 14:24; Joshua 14:6-15).

Caleb is a Bible-first walk through the life of the spy who said yes: the faithful report at Kadesh, the "another spirit" that followed God fully, the minority report spoken to a hostile crowd, forty years of waiting without bitterness, the friendship of Joshua and Caleb, the giants faced in faith, the mountain requested at eighty-five, the Anakim driven from Hebron, the inheritance received, the springs poured out on the next generation, and the spirit of Caleb alive in believers today.

Explicitly Trinitarian: God the Father who promises and rewards; Jesus Christ -- Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior, the greater Caleb who faced sin and death and won; and the Holy Spirit, who fills believers with boldness and who alone breaks every stronghold of fear. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit.

Read one chapter a day. Come honest. Read slowly. Pray openly.
