Mr Moonlight

Close your eyes. He’s waiting for you.

Julian Harris is haunted by dreams in which he becomes a monster—an evil beyond comprehension. Sometimes it feels like something is trying to get inside him. Or maybe it is already there, waiting for the chance to escape into the waking world.

Godthorne, Julian’s picture–postcard hometown, hides a darkness of its own. Fifteen years ago, five girls vanished from its streets. Now another schoolgirl is missing. The man blamed for the original crimes is long dead. So is this the work of a copycat, or something far stranger?

Drawn by the same sinister force that stalks his dreams, Julian returns to Godthorne for the first time in years. To uncover the truth, he must confront not only the secrets of the forest that surrounds the town but also the ghosts of his own past.

Mr Moonlight is a standalone supernatural thriller in The Devil’s Ledger series, perfect for fans of small–town secrets, ritualistic horror, dark folklore, and gothic suspense.
