Om denne lydboken
Babaji occupies a unique place in modern spiritual literature as one of the most mysterious and revered figures associated with the Himalayan yogic tradition. Known to many as Mahavatar Babaji, he is described in yogic accounts as an immortal master who has guided spiritual seekers across generations while remaining largely hidden from public view. Although little historical documentation exists, his influence has spread worldwide through the writings and testimony of those who claimed direct contact with him.
Babaji first became widely known through the teachings of Lahiri Mahasaya, who reported receiving initiation into Kriya Yoga from him in the Himalayas during the nineteenth century. Through Lahiri Mahasaya, the tradition continued to Sri Yukteswar and later to Paramahansa Yogananda, whose influential book Autobiography of a Yogi introduced Babaji to millions of readers around the world. Within this lineage, Babaji is portrayed as a master dedicated to preserving and transmitting the ancient science of Kriya Yoga for the spiritual upliftment of humanity.
This biography explores the origins, teachings, traditions, and enduring legacy associated with Babaji. Drawing upon spiritual literature, historical sources, memoirs, and the testimonies of disciples and teachers, it examines the figure who has inspired generations of seekers and remains one of the most fascinating personalities in modern spiritual history.
