INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Journey
Welcome once again to Ethnicity and Economy, A Calm Lifetime Endeavour. This learner's manual is not simply a collection of entrepreneurial techniques. It is an invitation to walk — step by step, session by session — toward a more grounded, more rooted, and more conscious way of building your economic activity.
“A Calm Lifetime Endeavour” is not merely a phrase: it is a commitment.
A commitment not to experience entrepreneurship as an anxious race for survival, but to build it as a thoughtful act, rooted in your identity, your community, and the resources you actually have.
You who are opening this manual may already have an idea, a small business, an informal project that you want to grow, or simply the desire to understand how to transform your energy into a sustainable activity. Whatever your starting point, this journey has been designed to accompany you, without rushing you, toward a gradual clarity about who you are as an entrepreneur and about what you have to build.
Arnaud Segla, Consultant Manager and Author, promotes informal alternatives and ethnic identity in terms of inter- and intra-community socioeconomic performance.
As the head of a consulting firm and think tank since 2009, he has built expertise in ethnic entrepreneurship projects for the economic empowerment of communities through various experiences in project management and business engineering aimed at contributing to the definition of informal alternative solutions for economic and sustainable development in Canada and Africa.
He has developed customized programs and services specifically for newcomers and residents from diverse cultures who want to start a business quickly and on the right foot, and above all, make it last. Arnaud offers highly practical training courses designed to enable participants to bring their projects to fruition in a short period of time. He is the author of several books, including the first guide on ethnic entrepreneurship using an informal approach.
